The first thing I thought when I picked up a can of CANN Ginger Lemongrass was how much smaller it was than I expected. Not necessarily a bad thing. Just... small.
I’d seen CANN all over social media looking very aesthetic, very cool-fridge-at-a-house-party, and very much positioned as something you drink when you don’t want alcohol but also don’t want to spend the night holding a sad sparkling water, especially if you’re curious about THC drinks.
So, I wanted to see whether the drink itself was actually good once you got past the branding.

I like ginger in food. Ginger drinks are another story. There’s a very thin line between refreshing ginger and something that tastes like the drink version of a throat remedy. I was expecting CANN to lean a little too far into that sharp, spicy flavor.
It didn’t.
The ginger is there, but the lemongrass makes everything feel lighter. There’s a fresh citrusy thing happening, a little warmth from the ginger, and enough fizz to make it feel fun without turning every sip into carbonation overload.
More importantly, it isn’t ridiculously sweet.
That mattered to me because some canned “better-for-you” drinks somehow still taste like liquid candy. CANN doesn’t. I finished the can without getting that sugary aftertaste that makes you immediately reach for water. I’d drink it very cold, though. This does not feel like a drink I’d want sitting around getting warm while I talk for an hour.
This is where the tiny can starts making sense.
The classic CANN has 2mg THC and 4mg CBD, so I wouldn’t treat it like a LaCroix and casually finish three before realizing what I’d done.
That’s probably my main concern with drinks like this. They look harmless. They taste easy. And because you’re drinking rather than eating an edible, it can be tempting to keep going before you know how your body is reacting.
I’d rather sip one slowly and see where things go.
For someone totally new to THC drinks, that lower-dose setup also feels less intimidating than opening something with a much higher amount and wondering whether you’ve made a terrible Friday-night decision.
I wouldn’t buy this because I’m thirsty.
I’d buy it for that awkward little category of occasions where I want a drink, but I don’t necessarily want alcohol.
Friends coming over. Movie night. Sitting outside in the evening. A dinner where everyone is opening wine, and you still want something that feels a little more special than soda.
That’s where CANN clicks.
It feels casual without feeling boring. And honestly, that might be the whole reason people are into it.

Yesssssssss.
The flavor was the part that won me over. Fresh, slightly gingery, not too sweet, and surprisingly easy to drink.
I still think the hype around CANN is partly lifestyle and branding, but the drink itself holds up, too. Might try other flavors real soon.
In my POV if you already enjoy low-dose THC products and want something different from alcohol, Ginger Lemongrass is one of those drinks you would happily keep in the fridge.
